API · TRUST · EVIDENCE

Governed integration pattern

Contract

OpenAPI, schemas, errors, idempotency and versioning.

Trust

Identity, mTLS, tokens, policy and masking.

Evidence

Tracing, audit, reconciliation and acceptance evidence.

INTEGRATION DISCOVERY

Discovery checklist

  • Source and target systems and owners
  • Inputs, outputs and data classification
  • Authentication, trust boundaries and network
  • Timeout, retry, idempotency and reconciliation
  • PoC dataset, UAT evidence and rollback
REFERENCE WORKFLOW

Reference healthcare integration flow

01

Request intake

The Kiosk receives service type, facility and correlation identifiers without exposing unnecessary health data.

02

Patient identity

Identity is matched under the healthcare provider policy; exceptions are routed to assisted service.

03

Business exchange

An adapter maps requests to HIS/EMR APIs with controlled timeout, retry and idempotency.

04

Receipt and audit

Only minimum results are displayed, sensitive data is masked and transaction evidence follows retention policy.

SECURITY & ACCEPTANCE

Controls before implementation

  • Define exactly which health data may appear on screen and on receipts.
  • Do not persist medical records locally beyond approved encrypted temporary storage.
  • Define business error codes and assisted-service escalation paths.
  • UAT should use synthetic data unless real patient data is explicitly approved.
